Offsite Event 1: ICPHSO Welcome Reception

Walking Distance from Mermaid: Approximately 30 minutes. Also accessible from Aldgate East Tube Station (7-minute tube) on the District Line and Liverpool Street Station (9-minute tube) on the circle line from Blackfriars Station.

Reception Description:

The theme for the welcome reception is "British Afternoon Tea". A wide selection of British-themed food and drinks, all associated with the tea-related ritual introduced into Britain in the early 1840s will be available. Entertainment for the night will include live music from a jazz band and a talented illustrator that will capture our guests and the magic of the evening's celebration.

Local area short tours will also be available. These one-hour tours will include a walking tour where attendees can follow in the footsteps of Jack the Ripper, explore the narrow alleyways as you hear about spooky stories and goings on, discover the amazing women who lived, worked and campaigned here or learn about the communities that settled in the are and helped make this ancient neighborhood distinctive. The variety of tours available will provide entertainment and help create informal networking opportunities.

Offsite Event 2: ICPHSO International Symposium Reception

Reception Description:

Situated in the heart of London, the venue is housed in the historic crypts beneath St. Bride's Church. In addition to the open bar/wine tasting experience, selection of canapes, complimentary local attraction tickets (limited), photo booth with props and additional entertainment during the reception.

Offsite Event 3: ICPHSO Wrap Up and Electrical Safety-First Welcome Reception

Date and Time: Wednesday, October 15, 2025, 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Accessible by all major transport hubs including Liverpool Street and Bank. Security Note: All attendees are required to register in advance and will receive an entry QR code prior to the reception which must be used to enter the venue. Note: Space May Be Limited Due to Venue Capacity.

As the tallest building in the City, 22 Bishopsgate stands as a symbol of modern London, providing unparalleled views of some of the most iconic sites in the UK, such as the River Thames, Tower Bridge, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Bank of England. A variety of food and drinks will be served and available to attendees.
