Student Mentorship Programme in Consumer Product Safety
STUDENT APPLICATIONS STILL BEING ACCEPTED!!!
The International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) London 2025, in cooperation with the UK Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS), are pleased to announce that applications for mentees are now open for the 2025 International Product Safety Student Mentorship Programme.
The Programme
The Mentorship Programme matches talented students and experienced product safety professionals in a formal mentorship relationship. The Programme aims to foster the development of the new wave of product safety professionals who will be able to advocate and promote consumer product safety more widely.
Mentees will have the following benefits as part of the Programme:
- Paid entrance (waived registration fee) to the ICPHSO International Symposium sessions: Successful mentee applicants will be invited to attend the ICPHSO 2025 International Symposium, taking place on 14-15 October 2025 at The Mermaid London alongside their mentor(s). The theme of the event is "Adapting to Change: Exploring the Future of Product Safety". The Programme includes formal sessions and networking events organised as part of the ICPHSO International Symposium. The Programme will also provide ample opportunity to meet and learn more about the global consumer product safety landscape in bespoke sessions for the Programme and in more informal environments.
- Pairing with a consumer product safety mentor: Carefully matched mentor(s) will provide guidance, support, and pass on their relevant experience in consumer product safety to their mentees. They will also attend sessions and events alongside their mentees and any additional Programme-specific events.
- Dedicated sessions for all the mentees and mentors: Formal sessions prior to, during, and after the ICPHSO event will be held specifically for mentees and mentors and specifically for Programme participants.
- Access to networking sessions and informal networking opportunities: Mentees will have unrivalled access to a wide range of experts and professionals in the consumer product safety space.
- Coverage of certain travel and accommodation costs: For London-based mentees, local travel costs to and from the days' events will be covered. For mentees traveling outside of London, hotel accommodation will be provided. All meals provided by and during the conference will be covered as part of the waived registration fee. Any costs outside of the above will not be covered by the programme.
Ideal Applicants Eligibility
The Programme is open to:
- Full-time students
- At any stage of their academic education.
- Bachelor students must have completed at least one year of academic studies by 14 October 2025. Studies can be undertaken
in any discipline (e.g. law, compliance, engineering, business, science, etc.), as long as it has relevance to consumer product safety.
Note: This Programme is not intended for applicants interested in food and medical device safety as these areas are not within scope of the ICPHSO conference.

https://form.jotform.com/251825319075055.
In the application, students will be asked to:
