In support of ICPHSO’s mission to bring product safety stakeholders together at training and education conferences, ICPHSO members are also involved in various other support activities. These include a focus on inclusion and diversity, strategic planning, a product safety mentorship program to bring in new members and perspectives and a robust scholarship program to ensure that all product safety stakeholders can participate.
Under this page, you can find various activities associated with the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization. Here’s a quick reference to what is available:
Code of Conduct: ICPHSO conferences and other events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for all participants, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof) marital status, veteran status, age, technology choices or job affiliation.
Health and Safety Information: Selected useful links to global health and safety links. These limited links are provided as a service to our stakeholders and are not endorsed or approved by ICPHSO and are by no means all inclusive.
Inclusion and Diversity: ICPHSO believes stakeholder inclusion and diversity within the safety community is key to the success of our organization.
Student Mentorship Program: The ICPHSO Student Mentorship Program supports and encourages attendee growth, provide opportunities for skill building, facilitate cross-organizational understanding, and improve social networks within the product safety community while advancing the collective growth of ICPHSO as an organization which exists to bring together all product safety stakeholders to receive training, education, and networking opportunities.
Product Safety Heroes: ICPHSO salutes and thanks all product safety and health professionals who work on behalf of the safety of all consumers to make sure the products used remain safe. This was a notice issued on behalf of 16 organizations during the pandemic recognizing product safety and health professionals who remained on the job, even while working remotely under often difficult circumstances.
Scholarship Program: As the only global organization that attracts health and safety professionals meet to exchange ideas and share information to address health and safety concerns, ICPHSO recognizes that we need to support stakeholders that may not have the resources to attend our meetings. Helping ensure broad and inclusive stakeholder participation furthers the richness and diversity of our conferences.
Strategic Plan: ICPHSO’s Strategic Goal was last developed and approved by its Board of Directors in 2020. This five-year plan details ICPHSO’s ongoing organizational process of using available knowledge to document the organization’s intended direction. As we celebrate ICPHSO’s 30th year various committees within the Strategic Plan review ongoing performance and make recommendations to further ICPHSO’s mission, vision, and values.
