Buddy Pilot Program

February 17-20, 2025

ICPHSO recognizes that our Annual Meeting and Training Symposium can be somewhat daunting to new attendees/first-timers. To assist new attendees/first-timers we are implementing a pilot "Buddy Program" during the 2025 Annual Symposium.

Program Details

• Who: New attendees/first-timers will be paired up with a more seasoned attendee/member (Buddy).
  
• How: Each Buddy will have 3 or 4 new attendees/first-timers assigned to them.
  • Initial meet up with Buddy discussing what to expect over the course of the Symposium.
  • Help guide the new attendees/first-timers during the Symposium and are encouraged to attend one session together.
  • At the conclusion of the Symposium, a short de-brief with each new attendee/first-timer to obtain overall thoughts takeaways and suggestions for future programs.
• ICPHSO Follow up with all participants after the Symposium for more detailed feedback.

Logistics

• New attendees/first-timers can indicate interest in participating in the pilot program during registration.
• More seasoned attendees/members can indicate interest in being a Buddy during registration.
• ICPHSO will group new members/first-timers with a Buddy.

Note: This is not a mentor program. The assistance provided by the Buddy is limited to support and guidance with initial symposium orientation and support during the week of Annual Symposium.
