Crowell - Sponsored & Hosted 20-Minute Satellite Session - Environmental Justice and ESG: The EU's Impact on North America
European regulators have long been working on devising a comprehensive set of environmental, social and governance (ESG) disclosure metrics, which will involve both new obligations of disclosure as well as substantive obligations
to address ESG issues connected to companies’ businesses. Their implementation is likely to have significant effects for both companies domiciled in the EU as well as companies registered elsewhere but operating within the
EU. In addition to the reporting obligations of companies, the EU regulatory framework on ESG will also impact the development and production of retail and consumer products. This webinar will explore some of the new EU measures
and their practical consequences with respect to environmental justice in relation to product safety and the entire product life cycle in general.
