The International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) is returning to Brussels, Belgium for its in-person 2024 International Symposium, held in conjunction with the European Commission's International Product Safety Week.

The events during the International Product Safety Week are free of charge, except for the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) International Symposium which is a fee-paying event that you need to register for separately. 

The next, tenth edition of the European Commission's International Product Safety Week will take place on October 14-17, 2024, in Brussels. The event will provide an excellent opportunity for discussion among a broad range of stakeholders from all around the world, including national authorities, international regulators, consumer organizations, industry, standard-makers, test laboratories, researchers, lawyers and other product safety experts. The open part of the IPSW conference will focus on "Bridges for Global Product Safety". It will feature a series of interactive and insightful sessions on the most topical product safety issues as well as a workshop organized together with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The European Commission sessions taking place during IPSW from October 14 through lunch on October 16, 2024 are free to all attendees but you must pre-register with the Commission.

The ICPHSO 2024 International Symposium will close out International Product Safety Week with the focus "Bridging the Gap: Linking Policy to Action."

A separate, paid registration is required to attend the ICPHSO sessions that will take place October 16-17, 2024.

ICPHSO has sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities for the product safety community to see what services can be provided to assist product safety professionals.

Who Should Exhibit or Sponsor: Companies that provide services relevant to Consumer Product markets such as Testing Labs, Recall and Compliance Services, Global Logics Services, Law Firms, Consultants, Advocacy Groups and Trade Associations, Manufacturers, Distributors, and Retailers of Consumer Goods.

Student Mentorship Pilot Program

ICPHSO is very excited to share the launch of a student mentorship program in the consumer product safety industry! This new pilot program being organized by the European Commission and ICPHSO (Intl Consumer Product Health & Safety Organization) is a wonderful opportunity for students in the EU to learn more about consumer product safety at the upcoming International Product Safety Week (IPSW) in Brussels this fall.

This pilot program is being generously co-funded by the European Commission.  It is open to applicants of any nationality but travel can only be arranged from countries of the European Economic Area (27 EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). Future programs could be expanded to include other geographical areas.   If students outside the European Economic Area are interested in participating in future ICPHSO Student Mentorship Programs they can submit their interest to info@icphso.org.
