2020 International Virtual Symposium Information
“Safely Sustainable: exploring how the concept of sustainability is impacting and shaping consumer product safety”
The International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) will be holding it's 2020 International Virtual Symposium on October 27 - 28, 2020 in conjunction with the European Commission's International Product Safety Week.
The focus of this year's International Symposium is "Safely sustainable: exploring how the concept of sustainability is impacting and shaping consumer product safety." As product manufacturers work to make their products and their processes more sustainable, and with a notable uptick in sustainability centric regulations and initiatives, sessions this year will look to educate and inform about the latest developments from a product safety perspective, while tackling the product safety implications associated with this growing area of policy and law. Relevant topics related to COVID-19, new technologies, risk management, and compliance will also be included in this years discussion.
With the Symposium being virtual we are extending the agenda to 2 days to allow for some sessions to be repeated at different times of the day. As a global organization we recognize that our attendees come from different time zones and want to allow as much live access to our 2020 International Symposium as possible. We will continue to explore all options to be able to include additional attendees from around the globe!
Who Should Attend:
Since this is now a Virtual Symposium, there is no limitation on who can attend and participate in the International Virtual Symposium. We expect the Virtual Symposium will be of interest to U.S. and European regulators from around the world, industry, consumer organizations, standard-makers, test laboratories, academics, product safety experts and others interested in consumer product safety.
