ICPHSO Announces New Board Members for 2022

Mount Laurel, NJ - February 1, 2022 –The International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization(ICPHSO) announced today, in advance of its 2022 Annual Meeting and Training Symposium at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center, National Harbor, MD, the selection of new Board Members to lead the organization that is comprised of consumer product health and safety professionals from around the world. The ICPHSO Board of Directors determines basic policies, sets goals and objectives, elects officers, and approves the budget in accordance with the bylaws of the organization.

Elected to the Board of Directors to serve an initial three-year term beginning March 15, 2022:

• Karin Athanas, Executive Director Americas, TIC Council, Washington, D.C.
• Kristin Cordz, Vice President Business Development, Market Actives, LLC, Portland, OR
• Mark Fellin, Head of Product Trust and Regulatory Compliance, Amazon, Arlington, VA
• Rod Freeman, Partner and Global Head of Products Law, Cooley LLP, London, United Kingdom
• Mike Gentine, Counsel, Keller and Heckman LLP, Washington, D.C.

In addition to the new board members, an existing board member was elected to move to ICPHSO’s Executive Committee as Vice President of the organization:

• David Kosnoff, Vice President Quality Assurance, Hasbro, Inc., Pawtucket, RI
  

The Executive Committee is comprised of the officers of the Board of Directors and with the election of new board members changes will also occur to the Executive Committee, effective March 15, 2022:

• Xiao Chen, Vice President, Premiums Assurance, Intertek Assuris, Arlington Heights, IL, becomes President
• Leonard F. Morrissey, Director, Global Business Development and Strategy, ASTM International, West Conshohocken, PA becomes President Elect and 2023 Symposium Planning Chair
• Kimberly Mason, Senior Director of Compliance, Five Below, Philadelphia, PA, becomes Treasurer
• David Kosnoff, Vice President Quality Assurance, Hasbro, Inc., Pawtucket, RI, becomes Vice President
• Andy Church, Founder, Insight Quality Services, Irving, TX, becomes Past President and Chair of the Nominating Committee
• Marc J. Schoem, Executive Director, ICPHSO, Olney, MD, remains as Secretary

The new board members and officers of the Executive Committee assume their roles and responsibilities on March 15, 2022, after the ICPHSO 2022 Annual Meeting and Training Symposium, being held February 14-17, 2022, at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center at National Harbor, MD, just outside Washington, D.C. The 2022 Annual Symposium is ICPHSO’s return to an in-person conference after holding its three conferences a year virtually, since March 2020. More than 400 product safety professionals, which include manufacturers, retailers, service providers, consumer and parent advocacy groups, lawyers, trade associations, NGO’s, academia, health professionals, global regulators, consultants, media and others interested in the safety of consumer products are registered to attend.
