Thank you for your interest in contributing to the David Schmeltzer Founder Scholarship Fund.  This fund was created to memorialize and remember the legacy of David Schmeltzer’s more than 50 years of leadership and service as a founding member of the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO - a 501(c)(3) non profit organization) and his service to the global product safety community.  Funds contributed will be used 1) to assist those new to product safety or 2) those who have not yet attended an ICPHSO conference by providing a one year free membership to new entrants into ICPHSO and to pay the registration cost to attend ICPHSO conferences and other events.

This recognition to those who are new to the product safety profession advances the legacy of product safety service of David Schmeltzer, who always placed a priority on mentoring and providing people with the tools required to navigate and understand the product safety environment around the world. 

The non-profit International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization, (founded in 1993 by David Schmeltzer and other product safety and health professionals), is the only organization which attracts a global membership of health and safety professionals and meets annually to exchange ideas, share information, and address health and safety concerns affecting all consumers.  ICPHSO members represent U.S. and global government agencies, manufacturers, importers, retailers, product safety consultants, trade associations, certification/testing laboratories, law firms, academia, standards writing organizations, media, consumer and parent advocacy groups.
